About.

At the age of eight, Ella would stand in front of her bedroom mirror singing Disney songs and dreaming of being a chanteuse. Her first public performance was in her elementary school’s talent show. When she found out that the boy she secretly had a crush on had raced to be in the front row, she took it as a sign that singing was her destiny. When she was old enough to perform in night clubs, she began fulfilling her dream and has been a professional vocalist ever since.

Ella began her career traveling and singing in top-40 dance bands. Since then she's belted in rock concerts, strummed guitar in coffee houses, and crooned jazz standards in rooms like San Francisco's Society Cabaret and Feinsteins. She later cultivated her mezzo-soprano for musical theatre and has been nominated for six Shellie Awards in Contra Costa County for best actress and supporting actress in plays and musicals. In the studio, she's recorded commercial jingles for radio, and backup vocals for many Bay Area music artists.

She credits her eclectic career for giving her an appreciation of a variety of musical genres that include rock, blues, jazz, R&B, country, folk and Broadway. Combining this eclectic range of music with her own vocal nuances has culminated in her own unique, warm and melodic vocal style. She’s been described as “…a thoroughly engaging performer both in story and song.”

TRAINING: Ella feels privileged to have studied voice with vocal coach Judy Davis, a legendary vocal coach whose students included Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Steve Perry and others. She later studied the Garcia-Marchesi vocal technique with San Francisco-based vocal instructor Ava Victoria (NATS). She has studied drama with several Bay Area instructors, as well as a two-year course of study at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre program, Studio ACT. Ella has also trained as a voiceover actor, and with a belief in aiming high, she hopes to land a contract as the new voice for Google Maps!

Growing up in California's Napa Valley, Ella remained in the Bay Area until recently when she relocated to California's gold country in Nevada County!.
